....Happy birthday to you.....Robert Mugabe was 85 years old on February 21; but he had his party today. The old rogue is still at it, chumping on birthday cake, nationalising farms and impoverishing Zimbabweans with hyperinflation.
It is sad to think that back in the 1980s this old fool was a great hero of the left.
And have any of those Lions of the Left, like Teddy Kennedy, the New York Times, CBS, anyone(?) ever stood up and said 'We were wrong, this man is a monster, and we helped put him in power.'?
ReplyDeleteWe're waiting....(sound of crickets chirping in the night air...)...
Many happy returns, Bob
ReplyDeleteThe silence is deafening.
ReplyDelete'We were wrong, this man is a monster, and we helped put him in power.'
ReplyDeleteBrown-appointed financial advisers on the UK economy helped to keep him in power, through the very worst years, up until they could jump ship for ruining us. After all, it's all over for Zimbabwe, there's a great deal still to tear from the carcass in the UK.
Mugabe is probably the most influential economic thinker of the 21st century. All of us will soon experience the fruits of his wisdom when Obama and Brown let the hyperinflation rip.
ReplyDeleteWhat with historical conditions inherited from colonialism ,the IMF ,economic sanctions applied,As the British supported the 'rational' economy of the white settler farmers etc This Black Guy has some third world economy excuses.
ReplyDeleteWhat excuse will the Brown guy have for sending the UK into the third world ?
Perhaps its simply that the UK wanted to eat its cake and thought they could keep it too as fictionaly overvalued assets in the form of debt?
That pic is creepy if you look at what he is staring at.
ReplyDeleteMitch,
ReplyDeleteI missed that; you are right; it is really creepy.
