I guess he's thinking to himself "I've just announced that I'm going to saddle the taxpayer with a liability equal to the entire national debt at the beginning of the year - that's over 300 years worth of government deficits - and no one's even bothered to challenge me!"
This should be on every Tory broadcast from now till the election.
